Both my roommates have moved in. Both are Asian who speak their respective languages (Cantonese and...either another Chinese dialect, Vietnamese..or not) pretty fluently by the looks of it. I...I feel like a failure of an Asian-American.

So...I'm officially at school. I've moved into my dorm (triple, private bathroom) and took the bottom bunk bed. I feel kinda bad...ish? First-come first-serve, though, right? -_-;; Hopefully my roommates won't mind too much...

Yeah. So. I guess I'll be hanging around outside tomorrow, buy my books, etc.

Hurrr...it feels weird.

Fun times, fun times.

Didn't really go to many of the events, and instead remained largely in the Exhibit Hall looking through the booths and Artist Alley...so I guess I missed out on a few things, but overall good. Lots and lots of walking for sure, but yeah...

Watched AX Idol. The contestants were all pretty awesome. Love, love, LOVED the Rurouni Kenshin dubbers.

Bought quite a bit of prints. Especially e1n's awesome One Piece ones. And OP Shanks and Mihawk commissions! One each from e1n, korilin, and Scuttlebutt, Inc. Hehe.

First day of cosplaying as Toph, I got this creepy dude wanting me to sit on his lap. Egh... Still. There were a couple very cute-looking Zukos around, too.

Bought the Samurai Champloo DVD set, hell yes, and a fuckton of yaoi manga. $3 and $5! Best bargains ever.

Er...what else...

Photos? I took some of cosplayers.

But my computer's being fixed by my cousin, so it's gonna be a while before I get repossession of the stupid machine.

In other life news...it's my second week of teaching.

Gawd. I have said more words in the past two weeks than I've ever in a month in high school (exaggeration? I dunno).

I'm glad at that at least the male teachers aren't ugly to look at. Eheh...

Merits a brand-spankin'-new Livejournal entry.

Yes. High school is over.

As much as I want to sound elegant and/or adequately run-on-sentence-y and emotional and poetic and writer-ly, I can't.

Now, there's this fucking huge world out there, waiting for me to fall over on my face and screw up again and again and again.

I can't wait. 8D

Wow. A whole year's passed since my last entry.

To celebrate, a momentary descent into inanity...

Korean Movies "Must Watch":
쌍화점 (Frozen Flower)
서양골동양과자점 (Antique Bakery)
소년, 소년을 만나다 (Boy Meets Boy)
미인도 (Portrait of a Beauty)
후회 하지 않아 (No Regrets)

And I've got to study, as always.

Bah.

*sigh* Bored. Thanksgiving break's been beautifully relaxing.

And "Beowulf"? It was...weird. The action, violence, etc. was great, fun, exciting, yay! But the dialogue seemed kind of contrived--too stiff, too unnatural, awkward--and made me laugh when I wasn't supposed to. The CGI was okay...loved the dragon, the pretty blue water, but sometimes the peoples' faces/expressions weren't as...well, expressive as I thought they could be. And demonic high heels? Hilarious. XDD

Hmmm...

I liked it.

I don't know how historically accurate it is, but I'm not a stickler for details -- you can't expect too much from Hollywood and Gibson.

It was beautifully shot, though. @_@ And the Mayan pyramid = so cool.

Oh, man. Jaguar Paw... He had pretty cute face >_>;;;

Anyway, yeah...
Going to sleep now.

Saw "Ratatouille" at the Grove today.

Don't have much to say about it... Some of the scenes made me LOL. Linguini was kind of TOO timid; Colette was cool; Remy was cute; Ego was...interesting.

It was far from a bad movie, but it wasn't the most exciting movie either.

What made my mood go sour: too many people (note to self: 12~5 PM Sunday = NOT A GOOD TIME to go the Grove to watch a movie); having to sit in the wayyyy back, saving seats for my mom and brother for 15 agonizing minutes; icky little stupid kids sitting (and standing and bouncing and screaming) in front of and beside me.

Oh well.

My mom's car's battery died while we were at the supermarket. At least it happened there and not at the Grove. Hmm... Spent about an hour on this issue, but got it resolved.

Hahah, that was quite an interesting experience.

Alright...so I've seen a whole bunch of movies in the past two/three weeks -- all but one rented/seen on TV.

Starting with the best/most recent/expensive one...

OMG TRANSFORMERS!!!
I enjoyed that movie very much, even though my bladder needed to stay on hold for at least half the movie.. -_-;;
But anyway. Yeah. Exciting movie. Lots and lots of BOOM!! CRASH! SCREECH!! and yeah. Pretty pretty FX.
I MUST GET THE DVD.

Borat. Watched it with my dad. Ehhh...NOT the best thing to watch with dad. Didn't like it that much, but it was interesting...and gross o_O;;; Well, I guess I enjoyed the gay parade scene...but... Okay, that little tumble b/t Borat and Azamat? *retch* EWWWW FAT MAN. I'm sorry, but really!
Although...Sacha Baron Cohen himself is quite handsome...XD

Aeon Flux was interesting...but not my style interesting. Pretty-girl MC, kinda weird storyline...but pretty special effects/gadgets/scenery.

Starsky & Hutch. Are so gay with each other @_@.
Owen Wilson + Ben Stiller = lovely character interaction.

Dodgeball was funny. I liked it. XDD

Happy Feet was soooo cute.

What else...

Oooh, I got the first part of 해신 (Haeshin/Emperor of the Sea) -- 17 episodes, 6 DVDS, for $60. EEEEEH!!! XDD

And Gundam Wing. It was great seeing those again. And so now I have to concede...Heero looks like he's much more attracted to Relena than to Duo or any other male pilot. *sigh* Still, slash fanfiction for this fandom keeps me happy.

Alright then...

For the past 2 days, I've been having a really annoying headache. Possibly sleeping for 12 hours, then waking up and proceeding to watch 6 hours of television might have contributed, but still...

Belated comment, but w/e.

So...I got the collector's edition... (Couldn't resist.)

Some additional stuff that the regular one doesn't have, but nothing over the top. In fact, I didn't really take a look at all the special features. (More like couldn't; I can only watch it when none of my family's at home - it's not exactly known that I have the movie in my possession, and I intend to keep it that way - or when they're all asleep. Also, sleep impedes and apathy prevents...)

Er...okay, so...yesh...now the comment on the movie itself...

It's nothing really intelligent or anything, though. And it's kind of long.

SPOILERS, yay! )

I should rewatch it.

Whew...good night~

Is it unrealistic for me to imagine that many (a majority of?) gay men are actually "manly," more than what so many people call "gay"?

*sigh* I'm craving some hot MAN on MAN action.

Need a break from the seme/uke reminiscent-of-heterosexual-copulation anal hole penetration-ness. How about some fighting? grinding and sweaty, snarling, grinning, and absolutely ruggedly hot MALE-y, testosterone-filled alpha-male on alpha-male pr0n/slash/YAOI?

What the hell am I doing posting this here.

In other boring news...

Six Flags Magic Mountain!! Second time fully participating in attractions... One helluva day~!

Fucking exhausting (I'm so not used to near full-day excursions to an amusement park...), but fun. OMGOSH I love Tatsu @_@. And, LOL, Gold Rush(?) operation error! We got to ride twice in a row. That ride strangely makes me all giddy and happy. So...Viper, Tatsu, Roaring Rapids, Colossus, Scream...watched the Batman Begins Stunt Show, no Deja Vu, no X...then Tatsu again XDD. I think that sums up the rides/attractions.

XDD CHESSBOARD PORN!! Oh, the things desperation does to a girl... Knight on knight on bishop on king 8D. Or...I'm content with two knights, actually. And maybe a knight/king? Bishop/knight?! Bishop/king??!!? T-T;;;

I'm hopeless...

Watched it a few days ago...last Saturday, Memorial Day weekend. Went to the Grove for that.

I haven't watched the 2nd Shrek movie yet...

But anyway...

I don't know... I didn't want to watch Spiderman 3, and this was the only alternative I really had... (It was a family outing, so I had to watch something w/ my mom while bro and dad went to watch Spidey.)

Erm...I didn't find it insanely funny. That's pretty much all that I have about Shrek.

Finished the Obsidian Trilogy (by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory) this afternoon @_@.

I liked the series very much, seeing as I was unable to take my attention from them for the entire week I spent reading the books...except maybe a day--and only until late night--where I forced myself to get some Easter vacation homework done.

Pathetic, is what I'm feeling right now. Pleased, and thrilled, too, just having read the end of the trilogy. But still...I really need to put more effort into reading books ^__^;;. If only I had as much enthusiasm as I did with these books as with others, it'd be so much easier.

I need to find some more good fantasy/action books. Ones that will hold my interest. With pretty/handsome boys/men. Females...I don't mind, but these days, I am strangely not inclined to read books with a woman as the main protagonist. Done enough of that, I guess, while reading Tamora Pierce's Tortallan-verse books a long time ago.

I'm running out of internet fanfics/stuff that I can really enjoy D|.

But back to the Obsidian Trilogy.

EEEEH!!! KELLEN! CILARNEN! KELLEN/CILARNEN! OMG!!!11!1!!
I despair that there isn't a thing I can do about this slash-y fixation ㅠ_ㅠ'''. Writing fanfics and stories in general aren't my thing. I might be able to manage some sort of fanart, but I'm afraid it's probably not going to turn out how I want it to.

I can't remember when I started to look for slashiness in books, but I enjoy it, and often I'm able to find some fan-made slash stuff online. But then there's also times when the opposite happens, and I get all mopey as searches for worthwhile fanfics/stuff produce no results.

I'm not sure why exactly I don't like the canon Kellen/Vestakia :-/. I vaguely found her a bit...I don't know, annoying? or something. LOL, but I know I can't find satisfaction with a lot of het pairings these days. I've been thoroughly corrupted by the forces of slash fiction and art, and I intend to cling to them for a long time.

Jermayan and Ancaladar~ <3. I have to admit, though, Jermayan/Idalia wasn't grating at all. And in the end, things turned out quite okay for them :3.

Anyway, that was really long O_o;;. Now, to dinner...

Er...I watched it on Friday, a 7:45 p.m. screening. I think that's the latest I've watched a movie at the theater.

Dad and brother watched "Shooter"...and they liked it a lot (at least, Dad did). XD Typical.

Anyway, the movie...was interesting. I don't have much to say about it. I kind of feel as if it wasn't worth the money, though. Maybe I should've watched "TMNT"? LOL.. I've got to remember to read The Namesake novel. It seems interesting enough, since everyone likes to say that a book is better than its movie.

I can't believe I got to watch 2 movies in a 5-day span o_O 'cuz that's...just awesome. Average is 4 movie theater movies per year. XP

They seek in here,
They seek him there,
Those Frenchies seek him everywhere.

An interesting movie, that. Haven't read the book, though.
